Anyone transitioned from crib to queen bed?
« on: April 16, 2009, 03:41:02 am »
it sounds ridiculous now that I write it down, but has anybody transitioned your toddler straight from a crib to a queen bed?  is there any reason why this wouldn't work?  This is my first big bed transition coming up sometime in the near future...so i don't really know what to expect.

thanks, katemom

dd went from the crib to a double.  once she realized a bed was for sleeping (she'd never seen one used that way before!), it was very little trouble.

truth be told, i have a harder time finding sheets i like for her bed than anything else!   ;D

Thanks everybody!  Your replies, and those in the link provided, were helpful.  We would normally choose a full size bed, but since we already have a queen size one for what used to be our guest bedroom (it's now our youngest kid's room), we'd like to use what we already have.  Good point about the bedding, I'll start keeping my eye out ahead of time.  So far she likes her crib, so I'll postpone the transition for the time being.

anyway, thanks again
