One thing you can do if you think they are eating too much or often is to add fat to meals eg butter, cream, olive oil, coconut milk etc. They really need lots of fat at this age for brain and nerve development and for calories. It might help to fill them up so they are not such a bottomless pit. Think how full you'd feel if you ate mashed potatoes with lots of butter vs plain steamed rice!
