Bad Sleep after Vacation
« on: October 11, 2009, 12:35:35 pm »
My 2.5 year old slept horribly on our recent vacation. She was up every 2 hours the entire night. This was very out of character, as she's always slept fine (thru the night) while we've been away. However, the problem is is that she's still sleeping horribly, even though we've been home for 3 nights. She continues to wake every 2 hours or so and hasn't kicked that habit. Is there anything I can do to help her STTN again?! This is crazy!  ??? Do you think it's just a fluke/phrase and she'll outgrow it...eventually?  I do go to her the first few times b/c she's literally screaming "mommy/daddy." It's almost like she's having a bad dream (but not always). When she just wakes and fusses, no screaming, I leave her be. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

It may be that something else just happened to coincide with the vacation, so that you attribute the sleep issues to vacation but really it's something else.

does she have all her molars in? Every 2 hours sounds like pain/discomfort to me.
