Wakes from her nap...going #2!
« on: October 15, 2009, 05:04:36 am »
Hi There

Firstly I would like to thank those of you who sent me your sleep advice about a month ago.  Our little one is going to bed at night so peacefully and easily again thanks to your tips and hints.  MUCH APPRECIATED.

Our issue now is that she is waking after an hour from her nap due to going in her diaper.  Every day for the past week she wakes afteran hour after she is put down for her nap, calling for me and sure enough she went #2.  She usually only goes once a day at eat seems this is her time of day lately.  Any suggestions on how we can help her out here.  I would love to put her on the potty before her nap and have her go, but I was trying that and she didn't have to go yet??

Thank you so much
Natasha

We have had this problem off and on and it sure is frustrating.  It seems to go away on its own after a while.  One thing I do try is to allow at least 30 min after lunch and encourage her to try and poop.  We haven't ptty trained yet so I have taught her to play over in her toy area where she can concentrate and not be distracted by me.  It seems like she gets too busy sometimes.  I have also regularly given a mid-morning snack and this seems to help ensure that she will poop after lunch.  I can't say for sure that any of these things helped, it does seem like they change patterns and sometimes it interferes with the nap.  HTH!

Thank you kindly.  I will certainly try including a snack and putting her on the potty beforehand.

Regards
