Should I wake him up from???
« on: October 13, 2009, 16:29:58 pm »
Hello,

Me again!! I have had many questions regarding the naps and some of you were really helpful! Now, I have some other questions.

My DS is 10.5 months old and I have always had a hard time to make him nap decently during the day. Now that we are on a regular EASY schedule, it's much more easier and it went well for the last 2 weeks... BUT now he wakes up at 8.00 in the morning when he used to wake up at 7.00. Now he naps at 11:30 until 12:30 and in the afternoo, I have a hard time to make him nap but he finally goes to sleep at around 4:00ish until 5:30 sometimes. Then, I put him to bed at around 7:30 at night, but because he isn't that much tired, he falls asleep around 8.00-8:15.

As much as I love to stay in bed until 8 in the morning, I can't do anything during the day because his schedule is all mixed up!!

Should I wake him up from his afternoon nap at around 5:00 so he will fall asleep faster at night and hopefully go back to his 7:00 AM wake up??
Or should I wake him up in the morning and try to put his routine back on track starting from there? What would you guys do??

I don't want to miss any naps because I know he will become OT and I sure don't want that!!

Thanks!

Great! Thanks for your answer.
I will try that tomorrow and for the next few days and hope it helps to put his routine back on track!

I agree I would definitely try that too.  I'm in the process of going the other way, keeping him up later, to try to get ready for stupid daylight savings time!  I think it's easier to wake him up earlier than to try to get him to sleep later.  It should work for you though, I just think how I am and once I get up earlier a few days in a row my clock gets re-set.

Hopefully it works for you!
