Over the past several days, my let-down has slowed down...it used to be very fast.  Now my dd is very frustrated and as soon as the let down is ending, she gets mad and refuses to nurse. And she only nursed for 5 minutes on a side before, now we're down to 2 minutes at the most! I switch breasts and let her experience a fresh let-down, but once she unlatches she cries and will NOT latch again. I tried compressions, but that's not working either.  Not sure what to do here... anybody have any more ideas??  I think it's starting to affect my supply, because she is not even coming close to draining my breasts anymore and if I pump I get an ounce only.

Hi there :)

Is your dd nursing up to the let down, or is she getting frustrated and pulling off before let down occurs?  Have you tried to pump or hand express a little bit of milk before the feed begins?  If  there is milk right there she would get some instant gratification for her efforts, maybe stay to nurse a little longer...

This is a tough one!  I hope some more mamas chime in with some more advice for you :-*

fennel and the homeopathic version of lactuca virosa are supposed to help with let downs.  I got the info from the Kellymom website.  I take both.  Good luck.
