As from mon my almost 9 month old ds is going in his own room. Since he was born he has slept in our bed and still bf throughout the night. I have tried to put him into his cot but have always gave in because he gets so upset and i'm just too tired 2. Anyway we have finished his room and I need a plan and get this sorted before I go back to work. I am going 2 stop bf in the night. He also has a dummy so I can't do pu/pd. Where do I start? We have a good bedtime routine. Any ideas really appreciated because it's going to be tough, argh!!!!!

Can he find and replace his dummy for himself? If he can, you can use PUPD, it's just a no-go if they need you to control the dummy.

I think I'd go for gentle stages. First, sleeping in the cot rather than your bed. Then, once he's happy in the cot, move to his own room. We did that by starting with naps in his own room for a week.
