Was wondering about a growth spurt, but she doesn't seem more hungry than usual during the day.
OUr routine is roughly a 3hr EASY, with some EASAS cycles in there due to short naps.
Here is an example, of course some days are more of a mess than others.
A 8.00 awake
E 8.15 generally not v interested in eating at this point, small bottle with lots of interuptions (nappy, etc)
A 9.00
S 9.15/9.20
E 10.15 (if short nap, I offer the rest of the 8am feed, as she seldom finishes it)
A 10.30
S 11.00 (shorter A time due to short nap)
(here she sometimes manages a 2 hr nap)
E 13.00
A 13.30
S 14.15 / 14.20
A awake again around 15.00 -15.15
S 15.45 short nap
E 16.30
A 17.00
E 18.00
S 18.15
bath 18.45
E19.15 before bed
19.30 bed
Been thinking about it and here's some more details on how she started waking up and what I did:
Night 0
Bed 7.30 pm
Awake 6.45 am - bf for 45 min (was still trying to keep the one bf session as this seemed to be the only one she wasn't objecting to)
7.30 - tried to put her back to bed, she sometimes goes back for another 1-2 hrs. Didn't settle, took her out.
7.45 bottle - approx 2 oz
Night 1
Bed 7.30pm
Awake 4.30am - bf without interest for 30 min. Unsure of supply , went to get bottle but she was asleep by the time i got back, so I let her sleep.
Awake 6.30am - offered bottle, had 2oz. then back to bed.
Awake 8.00am
Night 2
Bed 7.30pm
Awake 4.00am - bf for 30 min, then offered bottle, had 1oz
Awake at 8.00am
Night 3
Bed 7.30pm
Awake 4.45am - bottle, had 1-2oz, then fell asleeep. I didn't try wake her up, thinking that way she would continue to get her calories during the day instead of night.
Night 4
bed 7.30pm
Awake 5am - bottle 2oz
awake 7.30
etc
Last night was first time she had 4oz, which is the size of an average daytime bottle for her.
I'm thinking this is going backwards, if she starts eating more at 5am. However I've been trying to get more in during the days, without much success. Some days she's really not interested in eating in the morning, some other days she's starving, but then it evens out during the rest of the day.
Is it allright to try offer less during that night feed? How can I get more in during the day? I regularly burp her and take short breaks, after which she's interested again, but really can't seem to get her to take more than approx 4oz/125 ml at a time. We still cluster a lot in the evening between 6 and 7.30pm.
Sorry for the lengthy post, but I'm hoping someone will have some suggestions I can try out.
Thanks!
