he takes pacy and goes back after he cries and squirms for some time here and there he isnt hungry til 5 and if we intervene with ssh pat or even if he knows we are next to him he wails even harder so I am undecided how to intervene if at all??? the 3 am wake up seems to be habit and if I feed him at 3 he will wake EW for day and throw himself off the only way to keep his day semi on track is not feed before 5 so I am worried when he wakes he is mantra crying up to 30 mins!!! sometimes he goes back wo pacy other times he wont take a pacy when he first wakes he needs to be up a tad then will take it and go right back til 5 am am I feel guilty but seriously our presence only frustrates him???

no DF doesnt work for us

I dont feel dummy is a prop not sure the need to mantra cry at 3am regardless of bedtime we slide it 15 min back or forward to play with last feed to see if the 3am is habit which seems to be

he has 1  night/ very early am feed and goes back til am

easy sort of changed yesterday and today he is taking 2 long naps and looks like the 4th cat nap is weaning out he is 4 mts in less than 2 weeks also he seems to be eating closer to 3.5 hours the first part of the day but I am trying to keep 5 feeds in him in the day so the end of the day is more of a cluster 3 or less hours between the last 2 feeds

730 awake and eat bf
930-11 nap
11 eat bf
1-230/3 nap
245 eat bf
515-545 nap
545 eat expressed bm 4 oz
645-715 cat nap looks like this is phasing out though depends if the day is 11 or 12 hours
730 bath etc
800 eat expressed bm 5 oz plus some breast if really going for it he seems to tank himself up before bed even though last feed was less than 3 hours prior
815 bedtime
3 am habit wake last night he started stirring at 3 on the nose but didnt wake til 415 so I fed him
awake 730

he has 2 hour A times in the am and after a good nap if not more like 2.15 the end of the day he has a very short A time if he has a short cat nap and then takes another under 2 hours so he is approaching 2 hour consistent A times but I am not ready for 4 hour easy as he still eats at night so trying to keep it 3.5 hour easy most of the day and less with the first AM feed and less with the before bed feed I am comfortable with 5 feeds in day until he drops the early am feed since we dont DF. he seems to be able to handle a longer A time since about 2.5 months maybe 15 min above the average I really watch his A times and have noticed this but I hope that is not what is causing the NW prior to eating...
