17 month sleep crazies started!

HELP!!!  My 17 month old was doing great, went down for naps and bed time without any complaints.  Napped for 21/2 to 3 hours and slept from 730pm -8am every night.  It was perfect.  Now all of a sudden he will not go to sleep!  Naps are a nightmare for the last 3 days, he just cries and cries until I pick him up, then he'll snuggle and when I put him down he pat his belly for belly rubs or grab my hand. (kind of sweet but still...)then as soon as I go to leave he screams again.  It's taken up to 1 1/2 to get him to sleep and then he'll only sleep for maybe 1 hour.  then the same thing at night, although at this point he still sleeping ok through the night.  I've given him tylenol teething gel.  I don't know what else to try.  I know his canines are on their way so I'm sure that what it is, the bottom two have already poke through so I'm hoping it won't be long for the top two! 
Any thoughts??? here is his schedule

We had that exact same scenario just before Christmas when DS was cutting his canines.  It was complete chaos.  When things were at their worst, I actually slept on a mattress on his floor.  It was the only way either of us could get any sleep, and for almost a week it was actually a great arrangement.  He did start to get better as the teeth came in and now that they're all in things are more or less back to normal.
