my dd2  used to be a independent sleeper but then end of summer (at 18 months) she became unwell and needed hubby to pat her chest to sleep.  We then moved house and she stopped having her naps independently too, needing rocking motion be it car or buggy.  She would sleep through the night though.

in Autumn she suddenly starting waking up in the night and couldn't be comforted (and so we ended up sleeping on her floor).  But since then she wakes up every night.  Also she refuses to sleep in her cot and sleeps on a mattress on the floor (this isn't a problem for us, but no doubt will be once we start some action).

Anyway she only wants me to comfort her - i don't touch her when she is going to sleep, but i sit near her until she sleeps which doesn't take long.

we are desperate as we are sleep deprived and I'm so run down.  I know we need to do some kind of GW or WI/WO but not sure how it will work with her not being in a confinement of a cot - will she walk out of her bedroom?

We've never done CC.

also she is a very strong willed and sharp child!

I'm aware that the problems are our fault as we "untrained" her.

Please help!!

Hiya, it's great that she doesn't need you to touch her when she's going to sleep, only to be in the room. Now we just need to get you out of the room!! Have you read the links to GW and WI/WO? See here: babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=80750.0

Can you also post her full routine so that members can take a look?

Thanks
xx
