Could this turn into a habit?
« on: May 02, 2010, 05:31:23 am »
My Lo is 4.5 months old and a good night sleeper. Goes to bed at 7:30-8pm everynight and dream feeds at 10:30pm everynight. She gets up at 5-6am for a bottle and goes back to bed till 7am. Two nights ago she had an over flowed diaper and needed her nose cleaned out when she woke up at 5:45 to eat. So we got up and started the day. Now this morning she got up again at 5:30 am and refused to go back to sleep. Is this turning into a habit, and if it is how do I stop this?

What time did she go to bed last night (before the 6.20am wake up)? Can you post you routine to see if something there might be causing the earlier wake ups

Lo went to bed last night at 7:20pm. She hasn't been napping very much for the last 8 days. I have my napping problem on the napping board. Her routine is totally wacky right now, heres what yesterday looked like:
Awake and feed: 5:50
a-5:45-8( 2.15)
f:9
s-8-8:45(45mins)
a-8:45-10:15(2.15)
s-10:15-11:05(50mn)
a:11:05-1:40(2.35)
f:1:10
s-1:40-2:10(30mn)
a-2:50-4:30(1.40)
f:4:40
a:4:30-7:20(2.50mn)
dream feed: 10:30pm

Hi

as you are already getting help on the napping board for that I will hop onthere and have a look as it is better to keep all the advice in one place for one specific problem. It could be that the ew are linked to the short naps and being ot. To be honest though an 11h night at this age is brilliant, although I know that's little consolation when your days starts so early

I'll have a look at your other thread

Agree that sorting through the nap issues will probably help the early mornings (likely the EWs are OT) and also that 11h nights aren't terrible at all!
