My DD just recently turned 11 months, and today is day #15 of sleep training. We've done PD, without PU, because of her age. After the first day or two, she seemed to be adjusting well and we would only have to do PD a few times with each nap and evening.  We did start off with either our hand on her back or talking soothingly to her as she fell asleep and we'd stay until she was totally asleep.

During the second week, we started doing WI/WO because we could tell she was being distracted by us. I'd go in when she seriously cried for me, and almost everytime, she ended up falling asleep while I was right next to her crib.  Then it became that as soon as I'd leave the room, she'd start screaming her head off.

Since yesterday, we've had to do PD dozens of times at each nap and evening- one nap yesterday, I actually picked her up about five times, because she was holding onto me so tightly I couldn't lay her down.  She is definitely teething, but we've been giving her oral pain meds and putting Hyland's teething gel on her teeth before each sleep time.

Here's her typical schedule (for the last two weeks):

5am- wake, I bring her into our bed
6:15 ish- Awake
7- Bottle
8:15- Solid breakfast
9 - 9:15- begin routine for naptime
9:30-9:45- asleep for about 45- 1 hour
11- bottle
12:30- Solid lunch
1:45-2- begin routine for naptime
2:30 ish- asleep until 3:45 or so
4- bottle
5:30-6- Solid dinner
7- begin routine for bed, includes diapers, pjs, bottle, books, but never a bath.
7:30 - asleep , except for a night here or there- like the last two nights she's fallen asleep between 8 and 8:30
WAKES during the night around 11:30 and 3:30. I did wake-to-sleep one night- she used to wake up at 12:30, but now she wakes up around 11:30!

Both my husband and I feel that we've been missing something since we started doing this- we have definitely become her prop to fall asleep!! She wakes up consistently every night (except one) in the last two weeks TWO TIMES and is an early riser. I'm ok with her being an early riser, but I don't know how to stop these night wakings!!!!

Please help! I know the NW and naps are connected- we just feel at the end of our ropes about how to proceed. We don't want to give up, and I've checked these boards a lot recently and tried to modify a few things, but as I've said, it's just gotten worse!!

Sorry for the long post- I'd love feedback! We also have an almost 3 year old DD whom this is also affecting :(

I also forgot to add that we let her have a pacifier about a week into the process hoping she would be able to settle herself better with it, since she can put it back in by herself. Part of her crying when we leave the room is that she throws it out of the crib. ?!?
