How much for my 10 month old?
« on: June 22, 2010, 02:52:25 am »
I can tell my DS (10 months) is changing things up a bit, but I'm not quite sure how to tweak things... He's all but dropped his 11:30 bottle, and lately his 4:30 bottle is a crap shoot, as well as his bedtime bottle. I want to make sure he's getting enough fluids, though. Please let me know what you think!

Here is his current routine:

6:30am: Wake/bottle (7oz)
8:30am: Breakfast (fruit/cereal/yogurt)
nap 1: 10/10:30am-11:30/12pm

11:30/12pm: Bottle (he has about 2oz, barely any)
12:30/1pm: Lunch (veggie, fruit, finger foods)
nap 2: 3/3:30-4:30pm

4:30pm: Bottle (4-7oz, again, has very little this bottle)
6:00pm: Dinner (veggie, fruit)
7:30pm: Bottle before bed (this is weird, sometimes it's 8oz, sometimes he refuses it altogether)

I think it would probably be a good idea to drop the 11.30 bottle, bring lunch earlier and then do the afternoon bottle before afternoon nap. You may find the bedtime bottle better then.

My DD was on 3 bottles from quite early but at 10 months was very well established on a routine that went like this!

Wake - bottle
Solids - about 1/1.5 after bottle
Nap
Lunch - 11.30/ 12 ish
Bottle - around 2.30, depending on nap sometimes a bit later
Nap
Dinner - 5ish
6.30 - bedtime routine and bottle around 7.

What do you think?
