Question re: E in EASY
« on: August 12, 2010, 22:13:50 pm »
Hi everyone, I'm trying to implement EASY with my DS (12 weeks).  But question- do you feed every 3 hours, even if he's not acting hungry?  If so, doesn't that set him up for eating issues- i.e. eating when he's not hungry?

Thanks!

Hi there,
Can he go longer? Or shorter?

If it's shorter, then by all means please feed your son. If he can go longer, than feed him at 3.25 or 3.5 hours if that's what he prefers.

Having fed my baby on a routine - 3, 3.5 or 4 hours...I can say that she has no eating issues. It really helped her take fuller feeds and helped me figure out her cries. It was bc of EASY that I found out that my daughter had reflux (her cries were not due to hunger or being tired...).

I'm not sure if I answered your question, but go by what your son prefers. Longer or shorter..BFed babies tend to get hungrier faster so it's not uncommon for them to be hungry sooner.
