Waking at 2am for a couple of hours!!
« on: October 15, 2010, 08:01:29 am »
Hi there, I am new to this forum but I feel its going to be invaluable!!

I have an 8 month old, who has never been the best of sleepers compared to our other son who was/is fantastic....but Joe, well he's a challenge!!

This is is daily routine!

2/3am wake and take 4/5 oz bottle  But occasionally he wont take this at all
He's then awake for up to 2 hours before going back to sleep
6.15am wake for the day
6.45 Breakfast (porridge and toast)
8.45 7oz bottle
1.5 - 2 hour nap
10.30 Small snack, rice cake/breadsticks/fruit pouch
12.30 lunch (cant be earlier as I collect Alex @ 12) Normally finger foods, sandwich, fruit, cheese and yoghurt for pud - he eats quite a lot
1.30 - 7oz bottle
1.5 hour nap
3.45ish small snack, same as the morning
5pm dinner - varies, but always a good meal and a pudding
6pm bath
From 6 onwards he's just shattered, crying because he is so tired so we give in at 6.45 and give him his bottle (8oz) and then he's always asleep by 7

I've come to terms with the fact he's never going to be a 7am wake up boy, and I can cope with 6am wake ups but not when he's been awake from 2am-5am and then up at 6am, I'm utterly shattered!!

Would really appreciate some advice, I'm willing to try anything!
