Glad to hear improvement on those nights :)  Have you been getting good naps with the new A times?  Does he seem tired when you put him down for his nap?  I am still thinking you may need to continue to extend, as the average for a 7 month old is closer to 3+ hrs...

I am starting to think that maybe he is not tired and just bored.. It's so hard to tell!

not sure if this is relevent but when i put him down he gets to the stage where his eyes are shut and then crys its like he is so close but cant finish the process- very frustrating..any tips on that?

hmm....I'm still thinking he is UT and you might want to bump it up a little more.  I think he's trying to get to sleep but isn't quite tired enough and is frustrated because he can't get to sleep.  If you think he might be bored, you could always try a new activity and see if that perks him up a bit.
