Don't forget 6 weeks is a GS - she might not have that "milk coma" look for a while till the supply adjusts. :)

She has never had that look.  :)

Ugh, dreading the 6 week GS. I seriously think its in the post though. Was really fussy at that last feed and if I remember correctly thats how the last one started. My nipples have only just recovered from the last one!

once Oscar got rid of the jaundice, he never had the drunken baby look - apart from at the DF.

Emma NEVER had it. Apart from the DF.

I think its a spirited thing!

Hoping the 6 week GS doesn't hit you for another week (I thought I had gotten away lightly with Emma when we got to 6 weeks and 5 days and NOTHING - 3 weeks had been awful) but it hit us at 7 weeks and it was the worst....after that it was more and more like plain sailing, I promise xxx

Hiya.

 She's 6 weeks now.

The feeding is actually going ok for the last couple of days. On Saturday there we had a family do for the whole day. She was awake the entire time and quite OT/OS so spent alot of time on the boob. We didn't get home until 10.30pm and i fed her again before putting her down. I was so empty! Its been ok since then. Not waking up soaked the last 2 mornings although when i go to get put her to the breast it starts leaking! The I feel quite empty for the rest of the day. Its weird as I am usually so full. Of course me being me i am now worrying that I dont have enough milk....my boobs are so squishy.

I do get the feeling that she's never satisfied though. Its just lingering in the back of my head. She never gets that 'drunk' baby look kwim?

6 weeks is exactly about the time that mine started to "settle" and not feel so engorged. It's always a shocker to me and leads me to believe that I don't have enough. If she is satisfied and has lots of diapers that are wet I would say that things are getting better. how is she sleeping now?

I forgot about that one. Though the 4 month was the bad one for me. I don't even recall the 6 week one.

She has not slept well in the day EVER but she is a wee cracker at night. Only ever woken once in the night for a feed anywhere between 2 and 4 and then straight back down until morning.

She did however happen to take ok naps today. She didn't fall asleep on the breast for any of her feeds and fed really well all day. I am really pleased. Its also nice not to get up in the night and morning dripping in breastmilk. Perhaps she slept better as things have calmed down on the booby front.....who knows.
