naps have fallen apart
« on: December 31, 2010, 20:20:22 pm »
My 11 month just learned to stand in his crib last week and naps have gone to crap. He used to be so easy to just lay down and he'd go right to sleep. The most he ever fussed was maybe 5 minutes. Now, he'll cry off and on for 20. :(

Our typical EASY
7:30 wakes up
8 cereal and bottle
10 sleep (I know his A time seems short, but he usually goes right down)
11:30 awake (I wake him up by 11:45 to coordinate that later nap with my older kids)
12 baby food and bottle
2:30 sleep
4:30 wake up and have bottle
5:30 baby food
6:30/7 bottle and bedtime

now this is typical. It's pretty wonky right now w/ holidays. He also has a puking problem, so I don't let him cry for too long in his crib. Could he be ready for more A time? I always have such a hard time with schedule adjustments! Please help!

looks to me like slightly too much daysleep. dont get me wrong, its fantastic that hes sleeping so much but maybe cut back one of the naps, the PM one to 4pm wakeup. otherwise I would say have bedtime at 7.30pm as his wakeup is 7.30am

I think you're right. He has been going down later for the afternoon nap and fighting it more than the morning. Today I put him down at 3:30 (did feed a bottle then too) and he went right to sleep.

I'm so sad, though, because I'm a spoiled brat! :) Up to this point, all 3 napped from 2-4 everyday!
