very little lunch, but big dinner ?
« on: February 05, 2011, 12:35:01 pm »
Hi

Tyler is 14 months old and i've noticed that he just cant seem to have three proper meals a day, he'll have a big breakfast, very little for lunch, but will then eat a big dinner.  He doesn't snack much during the day and only has one 7oz bottle during the day.

Is this ok, or do I need to re-arrange things ?

I wouldn't worry about it - they are quite good at regulating what they eat, and getting what they need, and I have often found that mine will have a big breakfast and therefore not be so hungry for lunch, or a small breakfast then big lunch and small supper.  Sounds like he is eating pretty well overall so don't stress it!

 I agree.

I tend to look at what DS eats over the course of a few days rather than just one. SOme days he has no lunch, just refuses it but he does have 2 bowls of cereal and a piece of toast for breakfast then eats his dinner. Not really into snacks either unless its something good like a piece of chocolate!  ::)
