I think this is an EASY question.
« on: March 12, 2011, 20:41:41 pm »
My LO is 6.5 months old and we have NEVER had a good bedtime. He always cries as soon as he hits the crib, sometimes for hours, sometimes for 30 mins. He goes down for naps really well so it must be his EASY. I am just wondering some thoughts on when to CN, wake from CN, and bedtime... clearly what I am doing now isn't working.
Todays easy so far:
wake 6:50
E 7:15 (solids at 8:15)
S 9:10-10:40
E 11:30 (solids at 12:15)
S 1:00 - (it is currently 2:38 and he is still sleeping. I know I have found his A time, finally, but never know what to do for CN)

yesturday he woke from second nap at 3:15 (it was 1.5hrs) I put him down at 5:15 and he woke at 5:45. Then I tried to put him to bed at 7... he cried for along time. I ended up rocking him to sleep, which I don't want to continue as I worked so hard on independent sleep, but I just couldn't do it anymore. Bedtime has alwas been a nightmare so any advice would be great. Do I continue a 2hr20mins A time and then what about after the CN? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi oe,
Sorry you're having such a hard time. have you tried putting him down early for the night rather than doing a catnap?

It seems that he wakes up around 3:15 from his afternoon nap. I don't think he could make it to even 6 for bedtime. What I did today was put him down after only 45mins after the CN (30 mins) and that seemed to work well. He isn't crying, so that is progress!
