Definitely not ready for 1 nap! He has done it well "Accidentally" while out and about and not wanting his morning nap and taking a late one nap. But really, he is tired these days. Perhaps something else is going on. Teeth are slowly coming so who knows...today he took at 1.5hr morning nap (woke on his own which is great) and now I just put him down for his afternoon nap after 3.5 hrs of A time as he was looking tired and falling down (a pretty reliable sign that it's time for sleep). I'll let him sleep an hour at the most.

If it's teething then that could be part of the issue.

See how the next few days go but maybe try & stick to 2 nap days & hopefully this will help.....keep in touch!  :)

Tonight he kept trying to bite me (and succeeded a few times - ouch!)...and he didn't want his teeth brushed...so teething could well be what is going on...
I'll definitely keep in touch - you've been a great support! Thanks!

If it's teeth then try meds before BT &, if you feel it's necessary, a meds dream feed in the early hours (really helped my LO's).  :)

A meds dream feed? I think DS would wake up if I tried to give him meds...he is a pretty light sleeper...I'll see if it is really teeth...again he did a solid 10.5 hours so today I am doing two 1hr naps and a slight earlier BT to see how that affects the nights...

If you use a syringe to administer meds it's pretty easy. I usually do it around 2am if teething is really bothering them.

I might try that. don't think it is his teeth waking him as he is consistently doing 10-10.5hr nights. We're reverting to our old 30 min AM and 1.5hr PM nap as it is the only way I can make sure he gets his day sleep when we don't have to pick up DD at the bus...

I guess we're just going to have earlier wake ups. He is a happy baby when he is up and shows no real OT signs so for now we'll just have to ride it out a bit....
