He will stay asleep if I do hold him, but I need to so other things too.
Oh I know that hun, i was just seeing if there are ways he can sleep longer.  I was just wondering if he is more comfy being held as lying them down and them waking could be an indication that the reflux is bothering him.   I know it is so hard when you can't get anything done.  I don't think I got a shower for weeks after my DD was born unless DH was at home.  Never mind make and have a chance to drink a cuppa!

Growth spurts aren't exact so its normal to have them in and around the 3 weeks, 2,3,4 months then 6 months.   How I knew the difference was she would take full feeds every time rather than a couple minutes to just comfort suck.

Am going to see can a reflux mod take a look at your thread.  they will have a better idea if what you are describing seems reflux related or if its an EASY issue.

Huge {{{hugs}}}

So many (((HUGS))).  I agree with all of the PPs, that it sounds like the reflux isn't controlled, which means that APOP is a great means to get your LO to sleep.  When I was in your shoes, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and really it was just my LO was in so much pain, there was nothing I could do in regards to sleep training, until he was better.

I also think that 3 hour feeding is more appropriate at this age.  Both of my LOs were big at birth and didn't move to 4 hours until they were 4 months.

Rantidine didn't work for either of my LOs and they needed a PPI like Prevacid.

Also, both of them have intolerances to milk and soy (MSPI), which caused reflux. Have you talked to your ped about this?

Just to add to PP, it does sound like a visit to the Dr is on order to chat about meds, as it really does sounds like he is still in pain.  The reflux meds should really me taking most of the pain away and allowing him to settle and sleep without alot of screaming and waking prematurely.    It might be worth upping the dose or switching to a PPI.

You are doing nothing wrong this is the classic mantra of a reflux Mum.  No matter how perfect the EASY is, the refluxer cannot settle easily as they are just to darn uncomfortable.  The good news is if you can focus on gettnig the meds/non medical mix right, you can have a comfortable and napping baby.

It is worth  checking his poops for evidence of food intolerances, read more here:

I have a feeling that this is more to do with his colic as it seems to come in waves and is always in the morning. Also if I put my hand on his tummy or massage he eases, hes eyes shut and then it comes again. He seems desperatly exhausted.
