Help me get this kid to sleep longer than 3 hrs a stretch at night!

Liz, what did you do with your nightly, reflux feeders?

I fed them - certainly I did at 5 mths old - but both of mine were breastfed at that age. Both of my kids were very late to drop night feeds though - DS was 11.5 mths (down to 1 feed a night from about 8 mths) and DD 9 mths. It wasn't something that I tackled head on though. DS drank such small bottles that i knew night hunger was real.

That dose of losec is very very low though. DD is on 20 mg (and has been since about 4 mths).

I have no dummy experience - neither of mine took them at all.

I think that dose of losec needs to go up really.

Yes, so if reflux is at play, which I think it is, tackling NFs will not be an option.  I really think your LO is comfort feeding.  Can you talk to your doc about it?

Back at the paeds at the beginning of may - will talk about the losec dose then. I guess I will carry on as I am in the meantime. He barely drinks 25 oz milk during the day so I do think he is genuinely hungry - one day he will sleep....one day!!
