BEEN HERE BEFORE BUT CANT REMEMBER !!!! OR ERASED IT !!

Hi all.  This is my second dear daughter and for the life of me I cannot remember when I was having these issues with DD1 what I did to solve them.  Basically DD2 is increasing in her mobility.  She is trying to crawl and pulling off some amazing yoga moves mainly the plank and has just today perfected the art of sitting from lying.  She is close to 8 months. 

Now when putting her down for naps etc. she is constantly sitting up and cannot get back down.  If I continually keep lying her down she just keeps smiling at me and eventually gets OT.  So I have been holding her until she is more drowsy so I can place her on her side and block her attempts to sit....as she is zoning out.  Is this ok as I dont want to create a prop here.  Then for the second half of the night she is moving around loads and banging her head off the cot sides as a result and leads to NW.  I have tried tonight rolling two big towels up and placing them either side of her so if she tries to roll and sit she has to do it going up hill.  However DD is VERY STRONG and combined with raised cot for reflux she ends up somehow free.

Anyway is there anything more I can do.  Open to any suggestions or is it a case of riding it out.  DD1 was a mover but I really do not remember such a struggle.  Our naps are being interrupted too pretty certain due to this reason.

Hiya, what's her EASY look like? Could it be that she's not quite ready for sleep when you're putting her down for naps?

Is she in a sleeping bag? My DS was a big mover and I used to tuck in the bottom of his sleeping bag and secure it with a rolled up towel to stop him moving around too much! But I remember I didn't need to do it for too long as he figured out how to make himself comfy.

Unfortunately it is often a case of doing what you can until they grow out of it by gaining better control of their mobility themselves and/or the novelty wears off. Any yo have some excellent practical advice from KDee already of course.
