Desperately need help PLEASE DREAM FEED
« on: April 27, 2011, 20:10:57 pm »
I really am not sure what i should do now... My DS is now 7.5 weeks old, and the situuation is this...... about a week ago i was still giving the DF at 1030 and all of a sudden my lo started to wake up fully during DF and staying up annoyed for about an hour untill i had to settle him to sleep..... After thinking about it for a while and getting some advise on here i moved the DF to 10,00 was sooo happy that this worked and for 2 nights he drank normally didnt wake up and continued to sleep till 7 am which was brilliant

NOW--- last night he refused to drink the bottle, and then woke up wide awake ( this was at 10) i ended up lifting him out of the cot and giving him breast... i dont think he drank much and this morning he was up at 620 ish....

TONIGHT..... same think he drank maybe 1 ounce , woke up fully and was frustrated with me...

what am i supposed to do now????? he is crying right now annoyed that i woke him up ..

Hi Jen,
quick question, how are you dream feeding your lo? do you keep the room dark and quiet?

Tracy recommended dropping the DF around 7.5 months because it would mess with sleep cycles at that point. Sound to me like that may be happening to you.

Some people do cold turkey and then pat/shhh or PU/PD, but others choose to wean it. Totally up to you!

He drank everything for him ! Happy it worked and he didnt wake up for him at all. I could not deal with a middle of thE night crying so rather take your advise. I'll keep u posted .
