I too would try the feed. I just recently stopped feeding. It will be 4 days now.

Are you ladies finding that the short am nap is helping?

I am so scared to try it b/c I really don't think she will add to her pm nap. Even when she does a one hour nap on her own. The pm nap is normally 1hr and 25min. today she slept 2hrs in the am b/c of the Ew and a one hour pm nap. Now I don't know how long her last A should be, thinking a little over 3hrs.

Sabrina, have I found the short am nap to help what?  C never refused her pm naps because of long am naps. I'm doing a 1hr am nap so that I can have C's nap at the same time as H's. I guess that's why I'm doing her nap that way.

C did manage a 2hr nap by herself  :D So our day looked like
up at 8
nap 10:30-11:30
nap 2-4
bedtime 7:40ish. I put her down at 7:30 and she went to sleep pretty quickly by herself. I think all that screaming and fussing was all OT and bad timing on my part??  I guess we'll see what kind of night we have!

Emma, hope D does ok tonight. And if she does wake early, try the feed and see if that can get her back to sleep. Once she gets back on track then maybe she won't be EW and you won't have to feed her.

that is great.  We had a little bit of nap resistance this morning.  ::) She has been on this same a time of 3.5hours for three months now. Of course when teething, it was lower. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I think I am holding her back b/c I want her to be on the same A level as other los.  :'(

Emma, how was your night?

Our last 2 days have been a bit of a mess. She's still taking short am, long pm but taking forever to go down and needing more and more help from me to do it which is so unlike her. The night before last she went through until 4am as usual and then wouldn't go back to sleep. Yesterday she took hardly any milk though and woke at 2am so I decided just to feed and she went right back down until 6.30am when she was woken by B this morning. I am fed up feeding in the night now.

This might be the good start I need. She took an awesome feed this morning and i am hoping it means I can get enough milk in her to feel confident enough that its not hunger waking her.

A bit bummed out as DH goes again tomorrow for 2 weeks and I'm going it alone. Also because I told myself when he was hone we would get these NW sorted out and we haven't. I suppose its a lot better than it was.

Great job Emma.  We are on day 6(I think) of no Nf.  I think the EWs are b/c of hunger. Haven't tried the short am nap yet as her naps vary from 1hr-1.5hrs.  Plan to leave it for another month and see what happens.

This may make you feel better but I am alone at night. Hubby works early mornings so he is gone by 2am.

Emma, sounds like an improvement. I know how lonely and hard it is to be the only parent at home, my DH works midnights so he's gone at night and asleep during the day.  :-\

If it's any consolation it has only been in the last month that C hasn't needed a NF. I always thought that she was waking for the BF and convenience. But she dropped it on her own--even despite the fact that after she'd be done eating we'd sleep in the recliner in her room! Talk about APing!!!

Well DH left yesterday. She sttn 12 hours night before last, OK naps yesterday and then last night WHOA...woke at 10.10pm and would not resettle. i ended up offering her the breast at 12 after meds at 11 didn't seem to do anything. She went back into her cot at 1am after some half assed suckling and massive farts. Then she was up again at 4 and has been up ever since.

I'm tired. Sick and tired. I was so angry last night. Why does she only do this when DH is away? I dont think OT as she is usually OK to settle for OT

So many hugs Emma. It is really hard when you are on your own. I know! :'( We were up at 5:30am and I had to rock her standing up. It was awful.
Something was bothering your little Angel. a BW mom, Leslie, gave me this link for this necklace. It is a hazelwood necklace and it is supposed to take the acid out of the body.  Anyhow, I just got mine today. Trying to rule out pain.

Sabs, I'll be curious to hear how that necklace works!

Emma, why is it they always sleep the greatest for Dh's or when Dh is around?  C always makes me look like a liar!  Sounds like her tummy was bothering her. Gas is very painful!

How do I know if C's EW are from too early/too long of an AM nap vs needs more A time before bed?  I would assume waking up early am happy is too early/too long of an am nap. If it was needing more time before bed she wouldn't fall asleep so easily, right?  We've been doing the 10:30-11:30 nap and then 2-4 and bedtime at 7:30 but now she's waking earlier and earlier.  I'm ok with a later bedtime or a shorter am nap. Yesterday she cut her own am nap to 50 and held out just fine to pm nap but this morning was an earlier wake up.

I wish I knew the answer.  We got a 6 am wake up and the little angel woke up her sister. Yesterday she napped from 11-12pm then 3:18-4:45pm and bed was 7pm. I think bt was way too early but she wanted to go to sleep. All I have to say is I f****g give up!  ::)

how was your day ladies?
