This may be a stupid question, but how do you make pureed peas?  Just wondering about the skin on the peas.....

I never did - just put them on the tray for finger food, I did try a few times but couldn't get them to work well because of the skins. As finger food they are very good for pincer grip practice - kept mine entertained for ages which was always a bonus out in a restaurant!

That is one of the three things that I cave and buy in jarred form... I find that the organic jarred peas, green beans and prunes are easier than trying to get them smooth and for some reason, they are also the few jarred things that aren't super watery!

I used the magic bullet to make baby food.  If they are soft, they usually blended perfectly.  I steamed them, using the steaming water to thin them out as needed, as I blended.

I use the Magic Bullet too!  Hmm, I will have to give peas a try!  I use the Wholesomebabyfood website and it says that they are almost impossible to get smooth!  Did you use frozen peas Zoey?

Yes, I love that site and used it a ton when I first started.  Frozen when I can't get the fresh.  I think the hint it to cook them a lot.

Best of luck

Agree with Kara, the green veggies as commercially prepared purees seemed to be smoother in texture than attempting to make them myself. However, I did make my own purees using frozen peas.  I just cooked them on the higher end of the time range and added a fair amount of water.  It was lumpier than my other purees, but fortunately, mine can do OK with textures.

I use frozen peas and don't cook them for too long or they lose their flavour.  I puree them with a blender and then push the puree through a fine sieve with the back of a spoon.

It depends on your LO's age IMO.  If weaning younger than 6 months, I'd pass through a sieve but if older than 6 months, I'd puree them with the skins (and a bit of unsalted butter for extra yumminess...)
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/
