habitual waking - 4/4.30am
« on: July 12, 2011, 11:31:22 am »
Hi People

I don't know if you can help me but my lo (1yr) is waking constantly between 4.00 - 4.30am every morning and this has been going on for months. Once he is awake he will not go back to sleep, so by 5am i am up and we start the day.

I have tried W2S but to no avail, so any other suggestions or do i just hope and pray he will out grow this.

Thanks Laura

I have a similar problem.  I have sometimes managed to get my LO back to sleep but he's only not woken around half 4 about twice in the last month even if he's later gone back down.  We're currently doing a 2 to 1 nap transition and I was wondering if that was the cause but we managed one nap yesterday and still no better.
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/

Hi Guys,

Thanks for getting back to me and here is sam's rountine, but bear in mind he is at nursery full time (everyday) except weekends.

Awake - 4/4.30am
5.00 Bottle
7.00 Breakfast
8.00 Bed (Sleeps between 1 - 1.5hrs)
10.00 snack
12.00 lunch
1.00 bed (Sleeps between 1 - 1.5hrs)
3.00 snack
5.00 dinner
6.00/6.30 bath, bottle & bed.

He sleeps all the way through till 4/4.30am and here we go again. Once my LO is awake he can last 3½-4hrs till the next sleep.

Hope this info helps.
