That darn CN... quick quick...what to do?
« on: July 27, 2011, 13:58:37 pm »
I have suprisingly had an amazing day today... please God say we have cracked it! Anyway we had a 1.5hr nap this morning and will be 1.5hrs in 5 minutes for the afternoon nap... if he doesn't wake up then his CN is going to be late and meaning he is going to bed 1.5hr after waking from his CN... for my LO this isn't enough...

Should I wake him?

Could you go for a slightly later bedtime?  I agree with Annette...what A times is he doing?  I'd be hesitant to cut back on the one nap for the catnap if a slightly later bedtime or slightly earlier bedtime would do the trick.  Catnap dropping is tough, hon...hang in there! :)

2.20 in the morning and 2.25 in the afternoon...going to try 2.25 for the run up to the CN too... I am dreading the next few weeks when it comes to dropping this CN!

So, you still have a lot of daytime hours to work with--no sweat!! :D  I definitely think a later bedtime would work since he only does 11h nights anyways.  Day would look like this:

Awake: 7
A: 2h20
Nap 1: 9:20-10:50
A: 2h15
Nap 2: 1:05-2:35
A: 2h15
Catnap: 4:50-5:20
A: 2h
Bedtime: 7:20

See, lots of time.  Catnap is normally dropped when A times are 2h50-3h.

Ok thanks, he was in bed for 7.30 tonight and despite sqweeling and giggling in the bath he went out like a light. He seems to prefer a longer second A time but only by 5/10mins.

Thank you, I will worry about it in a few weeks!

Hmm maybe a later BT would have been better... He has just woken for the day at 5.55am!
