bedtime snacks
« on: August 03, 2011, 00:36:31 am »
DS is almost one and I was just wondering if anyone gives their LO bedtimes snacks? I am in need of some ideas.  He takes a 7-8oz bottle about 7 and goes to bed at 730.  Ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I don't yet, we did try it with my 14 month old but it made no difference to his sleep and also I've been told you need to wait 1 hour before brushing their teeth after a snack so it was just awkward.  Maybe when he gets a bit older and I've brought the milk forward to before his bath.
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/

My LO doesn't have a bedtime snack (dinner is v close to bedtime for us anyway), but I have a friend who gives her 2yo porridge before bedtime

I give oatmeal and a cup of milk 45 mins before bed started at 13 months, that way Lo can still get her teeth brushed before bed and go to sleep with a dry bum.

No, we don't give BT snacks. Just some milk.
