hydrolyzed formula.... Mommies opinion
« on: August 08, 2011, 16:01:41 pm »
I found a pharmacy that stock specilized milk formulas. I bought nutrimegan.

Dd is 8months old and has mpi. Shes ebf but I find it hard to pump. I'd like to use it for a break or night away mostly. I've spoken to dietian about using it.

What I want to know is what you know about this milk. Should I/ could I use it? Side effects etc.

DD also has reflux. everything thats of use with DD  I found out here. There's alot to be siad for experience.

Sorry I EBF so mo experience but I don't think there are any side effects of these milks. Sometimes very sensitive babies can still be intolerant to these formulas as the proteins aren't totally broken down.

I haven't used them for my refluxers, but from what I know the main problem with these formulas is the taste - they are pretty nasty especially compared to BM. If you are only going to use it for odd times you may find that she just won't drink it. It's worth a try to see if she will take to it, some do of course!

I made up one bottle. No joke, it smelt like smelly socks. Gross. She didn't take it and I don't blame her! Might try some in her beaker. Might as well now the tin is open.
