When to give bottle?

I am ebfing my 7 week old, but in 1 month I'll have to leave him for a couple of hours in nursery .  I don't have time for expressing milk, so my baby will have to take one bottle of formula while he is in nursery.  I was wondering if I should start giving him the formula in a bottleright now so he gets accustomed to it.  I don't want him to reject the bottle later on, so I would really appreciate your advice.  I also think that he is still too young and may be in one month he will still take the bottle, what do you think?

Hi Alexa, firstly congratulations, I hadn't realised that you'd had a baby!
I haven't got any BTDT advice but one thing I've heard from others is that if you're the one offering the formula your baby knows that you can breastfeed him so is more likely to refuse, whereas if someone they don't expect to be breastfed from offers the bottle they're more likely to accept.

The ideal scenario you would make a few attempts before the actual day. vene because you don't want your LO having a bad reaction to the formula (hopefully not) when you're away.
Have you seen the info about mixed feeding?

I agree! That's what I'll do. I'll start giving formula 1 week before nursery.
