How to get 6mo to sttn?
« on: September 20, 2011, 00:06:40 am »
Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has advice on how to get my 6 mo DD to sttn. We have been on the 4 hr easy for about 2 months. It's done wonders for her naps and overall sleep.

The only problem we have is that she still will wake in the night once for a bf. I'm starting to wonder if it's more of a habit than hunger. It's difficult to tell how much she is eating but I think it's about half of a normal feed.

The timing always seems to be around the 4 am time. This is why I believe its habit.
We have tried putting her back to sleep with s/p. It will take awhile butnthen she will wake again usually in one hour. This then makes me question if it's hunger.

Her schedule is A bit different from weekdays to weekends as she is in daycare now.

She wakes at 7am
Feed bottle and solids
Awake for 2.5 hrs each A time
Naps are 1.5-2 hrs
Has a late catnap of 30 min around 5:30 but doesn't do it all the time now.
Bath, feed and bed between 7-7:30pm
Df 10pm

I didn't put the exact times because she is in all day daycare now and I don't know the exact times of her easy but the approx nap/activity times are as stated.

She sleeps really well now, and when she does a nf, afterwards she puts herself back to sleep. I don't let her fall asleep at the breast.

So should I try the w2s or wait it out a bit longer to make sure she's past the 6 mo growth spurt.

Any help would be great.

I'm not exhausted yet! But I just returned to work and would love to sttn.

What is her last A to bed like?  Do they give you any idea of nap times?  Also, is she teething at all?  My LOs always wake during the time when they are teething and can't fall back asleep on their own.
