OT??
« on: November 26, 2011, 12:25:04 pm »
A is 15months and for months has been a pretty good routine. We went through a phase of EWs prior to her transitioning to one nap.  I think she is teething as one of her molars are swollen.  Nap lengths vary from 1.5hours to 2hours. I normally wake at the two hour mark to preserve bt. Over the past few weeks she has been resisting her wd during nap and bt. she will wiggle her way out of my arms and run out of her nursery. It is like a game for her. We are working on that but are having little progress.  Over the last three days she has been stirring just after 6am but will go back to sleep until I wake her at 7am. Last night she was crying at 10:30pm but settled very quickly on her own and woke at 5:30am this morning. She was in and out of sleep until 6:20am.  Not sure if it is her teeth or if we are in an OT loop.

here is yesterday
wake 7am
nap 12:15-2pm(had to AP the last half of her nap)
in bed at 7:30pm and asleep by 7:40pm
brief nw at 10:30pm

Any ideas?  Her language has been exploding lately. She is picking up on so many new words and learning to do so many more things.

My guess is OT. I would make nap and BT earlier. I would also decrease A time between nap and bed. My 2.5 year old has 4.5/5 hours between nap and bed. Anymore than that and we get too long to fall asleep at BT. Just some ideas......... Good luck!

When I put her down earlier, she still would play around but would give me a solid nap.  She would normally have an A of 5hrs and 20mins and after nap she would do 5hrs and 40mins.  :o  Prior to her nap she would chat for 10mins. I am going to aim for a 7pm bt tonight and pray that she catches up.  She woke up from her nap 1hr and 25mins later and only wanted to sleep on my shoulder.

Hugs Hun, I really do think if you can get her consistently down a touch earlier for that nap, even if she chats a few mins she will be more rested and nap longer. :) good luck for tonight.

I think you are right with developmental stuff probably using at play too :-*

thanks. I will try that. She gave me an 11hr night. She cried out at 6am then went silent until 6:30am. Not sure if she fell back asleep, but I think she did. i hope we don't go back to ews again.
