Hi Liz,

Have you seen these night light cuddle bears before  ??? ('Ansmann Mark Bear Take Along Nightlight', also got a duck or a penguin.) I googled it as I wondered if anyone had thought of it and found it on the website linked below. I know he may be a little older than the LO's it's intended for but I think psychologically it could work really well. Great for taking along to the loo too. Light and company at the same time  ;).

Red light is apparently a lot less disruptive than blue light. Haven't found a red night light yet tho...
I am still looking for one.

I got this one for Madison. She loves it but forgets that she can turn it back on at night.

I actually quite like that Vicki - yes J is older now but he is often quite disorientated and sleepy when he does wake at night so forgets how to operate something more complicated.

I mean - he could turn his stars and moon light back on as that makes the room brighter and will last for 45 mins - but he seems incapable of doing that in the middle of the night - even with the dim night light in the corner of the room.

There is no doubt that light is very disruptive to his sleep though  ::) ::). Plus Meg sleeps in the pitch black and I sometimes need them to sleep in the same room.

I think I had best try and explain away the 'scared of the dark thing'
