hello just wondering if anyone can offer some advice on my 10 month old.
My dd has never been a great sleeper, very rarely going through the night, she was going down at 7 and sleeping until about 5, i would go in and give her dummy etc and she would go back to sleep until 7 or 7.30. Recently she has started waking 2 to 3 times a night, she wimpers and sometimes goes back or it develops into a full blown tantrum, as soon as you lift her she stops, she happily goes to sleep in my arms, she will sometimes stay sleeping when you put her back in cot but wakes up about 2 hours later, other times she will scream as soon as you lie her back down. I have tried letting her cry but she gets herself into such a state with her temper and ends up hysterical and choking herself, my husband and i are now guilty of acc parenting because we will lift her out or feed her in order to get back to sleep. She has also started waking between 5 and 6 in morning and wont go back, its soo frustrating, i just dont know what to do.
Our routine (if you can call it that) is as follows:
w - between 5 and 6
e - between 7 and 8
a - between 8 and 9
s - between 9 and 9.30 (she cant physically stay awake any longer, this nap lasts about 45 mins)
she then has another nap between 12 and 1 and hopefully one in the afternoon between 15.30 and 16.30, these naps only last between 30 and 45 mins. she has a great bedtime routine and never has any problems going down at night its only during the night that the trouble starts. i know she could be changing to 2 naps a day but she needs the early morning one due to the 5 oclock start.
any help would be appreciated
lou
