nursing bra recommendations
« on: September 11, 2011, 05:04:35 am »
I need some recommendations for nursing bras.
I currently have several, but none of which I really like. The sports bras are nice at the beginning but get stretched out of shape & now just seem saggy.  I tried an underwire bra but it was too tight & uncomfortable (maybe a different brand or size would be better).  However, because of where I live I really have to rely on ordering a bra online so I can't really try it on before I buy so I want to know what other people like.  I just want a normal bra that gives support & doesn't break my back or kill my shoulders.
Thank you!

I ordered some online from a company called bravado. They were really well made (no underwire) and they were really helpful when I phoned as well for help with sizing. Not sure where they ship to this was a few yrs ago!

Ohhh we have an awesome place here called breastmates. It was here I discovered Hot Milk underwear. It is gorgeous (and actually make you feel sexy!), reasonably priced (comparably to bendon etc) and good quality. They have nursing bras, camis and I even got a lovely nursing summer nightie which was heaven for night feeds in the summer! There is also a storefinder and I think the brand has stockists in Israel :)

I have a ton of these.

They're like underwired bras but with no wire. I like that it's moulded as it stops nipples showing through tops and also provides some protection against leaks. There are no seams to show through tops and they're really supportive and flattering I find. They als come in lots of pretty colours and designs.
They're also really cheap compared to many other brands. And they do matching knickers.

I just got one from Bravado Designs...ordered online. It has no underwire and nice molded cups so you can't see nursing pads through them....it's the best one I've found so far! I had a Changes?? one prior...it's underwire and lacy...really nice looking, but super uncomfortable!! I would definitely recommend Bravado!

Anita are great! I have the unerwired ones and they are super comfortable and easy to open and close for feeding. The support is great and I have even worn thematic night sometimes they are that comfy. I found the mothercare cotton ones were really poor. The support was terrible and the t- shirt bras never seemed to fit no matter what size I tried digging into ribs and shoulders and the bigger size then felt like wearing no bra.. The Anita were expensive but are cheaper on eBay and online.
