Hi, my ds turned 11 mo yesterday. For the past 2 weeks or so he has been showing less interest in his milk feeds and just refusing to finish them. For the past month he has been having formula during the day but I still bf him at night and in the early morning.
This used to be our feeding routine.
Wake 6-6:15am (doesn't usually bf upon waking cs he feeds at 4/5 am)
Breakfast 7:30 (muesli and fruits. About 3/4 tbs)
Nap 9:15/9:30- 10 or 10:45. (sometimes only 45 mins sometimes longer)
Formula 150 ml upon waking. Used to finish, now only takes 1/2
Lunch 12 (hot meal, rice, veggies, about 4-5 tbs plus 1/2 cheesestick)
Nap 1:30/2-2:30/3
Formula 150 ml upon waking. Used to finish, now fussed heaps and takes 1/2 or less.
Dinner 4:15 (2tbs whatever we are having. Plus 60 g tub yogurt.
Formula 150 ml before bed. Used o drink very well. Now fusses heaps.
Night feeds. 9:30-11 anytime wakes for bf. Used to wake around 2 am but now wakes around 3:30/4/5 when I bf again.
I think he is ready to drop one day bottle but I'm not sure how to approach that.
For the past 2 days I have tried to give him lunch before the morning milk. So say around 11 then I have been giving him milk at 1:15 or so before pm nap. He took about 70 ml today. Then again milk after pm nap. He took again around 70 ml so in essence he is having half before and half after nap.
But today the bedtime bottle once again wasn't finished. Should I be worried? I think he is getting the amount he needs overall especially since he also has 2 nf.
Should I actively try and wean the nf as well?
