Nap is getting shorter
« on: December 02, 2011, 19:00:55 pm »
I reduced A's First A time by 10mins and lately her naps are averaging about 1.5hrs-1hr and 45mins. I normally had to waker her from her nap. Now I am not sure what to do here. Leave it as a little UT nap or move it a little later. She hasn't been fighting this nap lately, but has been fighting bt by constantly running out of her room.  If I move her nap later  that means I would have to wake her to preserve bt.

Here is what her routine has been the last few days
wake 7am
nap 12:20-1:50pm
bed and asleep by 7:30pm

Last night she didn't fall asleep until 7:45pm. I am not sure if we are heading towards OT land again. She is lower sleep need girl.

Sabs is she sttn 11 hours ish? If so I wouldn't personally be worried about the nap length, unless you are getting NWs or EWs...

Yup, she is sleeping 11ish hours, sometimes a little more, except for last night. She woke up at 9pm crying but settled herself then again at 6am where I had to AP her back to sleep. Could be her molars as she doesn't have any yet.

Please tell me this is teething!  The last few days she has been fighting bt and when I do put her down she chats away. A is averaging about 6hrs here by the time she falls asleep.

Is she just chatting, then falls asleep? Or are you needing to go into her? How's the routine now? x

Sabs is she happy enough? She did get 12.25hours in that past 24hours, that's good going isn't it?

I guess you are right. This morning I had to wake her at 7am. What surprises me is that her last A is very long. That is what her older sister is doing after a nap.  ::)

thanks again for the support.
