I'm getting pretty fed up with ds being a rubbish sleeper, so boot camp starts tonight! At lunchtime when he wouldn't settle I just stood there with my hand on his back, not saying anything and not moving my hand - is that enough to reassure him that I am still there, or do I need to do something a bit more proactive? I don't want to break his trust, but it seems that there isn't a lot that I can do to calm him down so I don't want to be doing something that he relies on if it's not going to help, iyswim?
