W2S- how "awake" does he have to be?
« on: December 14, 2011, 19:47:28 pm »
I am trying this out the past few days, and am wondering just how much I have to wake my LO? I touched him lightly today and he merely breathed deeply. Is that enough, or so I need to make him move? We are about 55 minutes in and I had to give him the paci a couple times. Hopefully he stays asleep.

We always just 'tucked' them in so they stirred.   Not awake, but slightly disrupted.  For sure no open eyes but a shift in breathing or position seemed to be enough for us.  Hope that helps.

I think every baby is different and you have to experiment with awakeness and timing too to find the right combination that is effective for your LO.
