6 to 7 nw's - is my 6 month LO hungry???
« on: January 06, 2012, 02:44:38 am »
So my little guy doesn't want to sleep at night - lucky me!!!

Our A time is 2 hr 20 min - we are trying to stretch it longer but doing it slowly. I had moved to 3 hours 2 weeks ago but i did it suddenly and it messed it up more i think.

He is usually up for the day at 8ish and will nap for about an hour and a half to 2 hours.

At night he sleeps between 7:30 and 8 - depends on his last nap. He will sleep fine till around 11:30 (i dream feed around here if he hasn't woken up already) and then from here we go down hill.

Last night he woke at - 1:30, 2:20, 2:45, 3 (fed), 3:45, 4:45, 6 (fed), up at 8

I try not feeding him but when i do he does actually take a full feed - which makes me think maybe he's hungry.

He is under weight - in the 5th percentile and i'm worried if i cut out his night feeds cold turkey it will affect his weight.

He has a paci - takes it and spits it out at night, but that doesnt wake him. A couple times at night i can get him to go back to bed with reinserting the paci and patting him.

I feel really sleep deprived and not sure what to do. would appreciate any help that any moms can give me. thank you!!!!

Hi there, HUGS for the lack of sleep, I know how hard it is.

I just have a few questions first if that is ok? Is your DS breast or bottle fed? How is his milk intake in the day and have you started solids yet? If so how is he doing with them and how long has he been on them? Any medical issues like reflux or MPI?

Often frequent wakings like this after midnight are down to discomfort or pain. Any signs of teething ATM? I take it he wakes crying and they are not long happy NW?
