When to go in
« on: March 31, 2012, 12:42:47 pm »
Hi, I am confused about night wakings. If dd is crying, kicking, wiggling, but not awake, do I leave her alone? I have been going to her as soon as I hear her to give her the paci, pat her back etc...  I wonder if I left her if she would not wake up or go back to sleep on her own.

Hi there, if your DD is just fussing and wriggling then I would leave her to it and see if she does manage to resettle herself. If her crying starts to become more than this and escalates then go to her straight away, as she is telling you that she really needs you then. Can you tell her mantra cry? Some babies do cry a mantra cry to resettle themselves.
