Talk to me about 18month sleep regression

I don't remember going through this with Madison but Alyssa has been acting funny around nap and bedtime. 
She will chat for a good 10/15mins before nap and bedtime. Normally she would go down like a breeze, but lately she acts as if she is not tired. She will wake up at the 40min mark during nap and will need my assistance to fall back asleep. She has also begun stirring between 5-6am in the morning. There is a possibility that her canines are coming, but she has been a late teether.

her normal routine is
wake 7am
nap 12:30-2/2:15pm I wake her here
bed around 8pm

She is on the higher end of A times.

What did your lo do during the 18month regression? any tips?

that does sound a lot like teeth to me sabs. We never had an 18 month regression as such. Maybe take a look at the thread at the top of the page...

this chicky is so hard to figure out. Madison was so easy but Alyssa's cues/personality is very difficult.

Chatting before sleep is teeth for us!!  Hope they come in quicly for you.  We are getting 2nd year molars right now which is leading to a lot of chatting before naps and bed but I am thankful that is all because otherwise he is sttn and happy enough (a bit clingy).

yes and waking at 40 mins and between 5-6am is too for us...

I am having the exact same issues!! My DD is 19 months and doing an hour nap and waking shattered, then waking anything from 5am, I can see her bottom 2 canines so I am seriously hoping they make an appearance soon and that it is just teeth for us too!!!! She just doesn't seem tired!!x
