Oooohkay so that success was short-lived. For a few nights there she was tanking up (feeding at 6pm, 9.30pm, 11.30pm) and then doing a long stretch, but now she's still tanking up but not doing a long stretch! She still only feeds single sided during the day and I can't persuade her to take any more. At nights she will occasionally do a slightly longer stretch (~4hrs) but other times is waking up at silly times, i.e. like 2.5hrs after a feed.

WTH? I even tried giving the dummy back to extend those but she just takes it out her mouth and throws it out (unintentionally of course) of her cot and then I'm scrabbling around in the dark trying to find it. SO frustrating and I am SO tired.

So we are back to PUPD in the middle of the night. It is so difficult to think straight and remember what I am trying to achieve at 3am. I guess my tactic is to settle her back to sleep without feeding, when she wakes between midnight and 4am. Last night she fed at 11.30 and then woke up at 2am, took til 3.15 to go back to sleep and then woke again just 20 mins later (so I'm not really sure if she did actually go back to sleep). Blah.

Anna, just a thought - does Stan snore/grind his teeth/talk in his sleep. Any of those things might be waking her maybe? I know there's not much you can do about it but just a thought.

Also we suspect Beth'a teeth are on the move - she's desperately trying to stuff both hands in her mouth all day and gets cranky - Calpol sorts her out - have you tried giving her some in the night just to see?

Teeth is possible I guess although they're not bothering her in the day at all. They have white noise on pretty loud in their room. Last night Stan was crying - quite loud - cuz of earache and that didn't wake her. He occasionally talks in his sleep but it'd wake me up too.

I haven't started PUPD at night again, I haven't got the strength and can't face disturbing Stan like that. DH has bust his leg so i cant have him sleeping on the floor. I feel really frustrated that Audrey thinks its ok to be waking to feed after 3.5hrs in the night where in the day she's barely interested. Im short on patience with everyone. I'm obsessed with the idea that if she would just take the calories in the day, that she'd do better at night - she won't even last til a DF - but am I just clutching at straws? She's not a tiny baby any more, she's big and strong and 5 months old and our nights should be better than this. They just should be. I need some sleep longer than 3 hrs.

Hugshun - no consolation I know, but I'm hiding under my duvet so my phone light doesn't disturb B. as we have exactly the same issue now - barely interested in the day, she went 5 hours from 6am to 11am today. She took 150ml at the DF, and is now awake less than 3 hrs later. I'm trying to tough it out til 3 using the dummy.
