15 months and heading towards 1 nap but so many NWs
« on: April 27, 2012, 20:42:41 pm »
Starting the 2 to 1 transition but its not going well. Amelie doesnt sleep anyway but when we try for one nap the NW's are so much worse. Two naps are hard and have to be at certain times due to school runs taking over our lives!!

She usually has about 90 minutes in the morning at about 10 and then an hour at around 4 which then makes bedtime around 8.30.  8.30 just seems too late, she is an early riser plus we barely get any time in the evening before I am going to bed myself.

She has had one napt today from 10 until 12.15 and was in bed by 6.30, alseep by 6.45 but has already been awake 3 times and is an OT mess.

An ideal time for her to go down would be 12.30 once we are back from pre school run but its hard to get her to that point as she's having late bedtimes/early mornings so is shattered by 10am!

Any ideas? ??? Should I persevere with the one nap?

it sounds like maybe one nap is something she is not quite ready for and is also going to be hard with the school run. If she is an early riser it is better to do a short am nap maybe 30 mins max and then aim for a longer pm. Would that work? What time do you have to be out in the afternoon?
