The problem with moving the solid meal to 4pm is that she is still napping then. We could do it a little earlier (like 5pm), closer to her last BF, but I don't know if she would have room in her tummy for it. Hmm... Awhile back I thought she might be having trouble sleeping because of her digestive system working so hard but she is doing so much better now that I shortened her last A time. In fact, the last two nights she's only woken twice (for each feed) and that is it! *crosses fingers* I'll keep that it mind though, especially since she does tend to have digestive issues!
Do you think I shouldn't worry, then, about the last two BFs being so close together causing her to not take a full feed before bed? I just feel bad expecting her to go longer at night without eating when she may not be filling up before bed...
I'd like to cut out the second feed, since I tend to stay up a few hours after she goes to bed and cutting out the second feed would give me the longest stretch of sleep.
Before I started worrying about her not taking a full feed before bed, our rule was I would feed if it had been at least 4 hours (or close to it) since the bedtime feed when she woke. Recently though I started feeding her sooner if it had been a few hours or so and the paci wouldn't calm her because I figured she probably didn't get that full feed before bed. That's why I want to fix that problem. Any thoughts? Thank you so much!
