Hi Guys,

We're really stumped with our little one. He is 3.5 months old and has historically slept well at night with one wake up for a feed. Last week we stopped the night feed and he has travelled well at night sleeping 6-7 hours (with a 11PM dream feed).

He is on a EASY routine getting 6 feeds including the dream feed. Goes down at 8:30 predictably and wakes up between 5:30 and 6:00 for the morning feed. During the day he feed well (not brilliantly) and naps ok (about 1 hour per cycle by himself) and resettling is a real drama.

Last saturday we have had to go out from 9AM till 6PM and he barely slept though he was fed per the routine. Ever since that day he has been waking up every hour starting at about 1:30. He goes back down within a couple of minutes without having to pick him up. However towards 5AM the resettle has been becoming harder of course as he might be hungrier than he was at 1AM.

He has been having a blocked nose, we have been using saline drops and a vaporiser in the room over night with the room door slightly opened.

Please help. Could he be starting to teeth? He drools heaps, and takes toys to his mouth and of course takes turns with his fingers in his mouth during A time.

PS - fully breast fed, doing well from a weight point of view as well.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys

It sounds like he's waking because he's uncomfortable - perhaps the stuffy nose or some pain. He could be overtired - what are his naps like in the day? What are his normal A times at the moment? It tends to be around this age that we don't increase the A times fast enough and LO's sleep goes to pot.
