how much EBM in the bottle?

Hey!am wondering if anyone can help....i am starting to swap bfeeding for EBM in bottles from tomorrow...just curious if there is an average amount that LOs should take at a feed?the last time i missed a feed, my mom gave her 8oz EBM in the bottle (she felt she would have taken more but was anxious about giving her such a big volume in the  one go)...later that night, she spewed loads, & i mean loads!normally, she never spews up-it is the only time in 6mo that she has done that so im a little anxious as to how much to give her tomorow...

i do....or at least i don't but i made myself promise that i would start to wean at 6mo...kinda complicated,but we had fertility issues & we want another LO sooner rather than later,so i need to have my body back to myself for that to happen...i will continue to pump as long as i am doing any feed,so she will have that for another while anyway...can't believe i'm sad about it when i cried bitter tears of pain for the first week of bfeeding...irony eh?!

sorry, i hope I didn't seem like I was prying - that totally makes sense.  yes, it is really hard emotionally giving up bf - I cried a lot when my ds self weaned at 9 months (we mixed fed and so he just decided he preferred bottles  ) - but I must admit I loved having my body 'back' once my sadness had settled.  Hugs (((()))

on no,pry away.... i've told so many things on this site that even my closest friends/DH haven't been told....it's such a wonderful way to vent/moan/cry/rejoice about things!so i'm going to give her EBM in the bottle today at the 3pm feed...i'm not making anything of it with those around me cause i know they'll just be watching for my reactions/questioning me constantly about it....there are times i want to talk & times i dont...& i know any type of conversation about it will result in me in tears so just gonna go about my business quietly....once today is over,it will get easier....sorry....i've gone slightly off-topic here.....

that's exactly it...i'm so happy to begin to get my body back, but it's the beginning of many seperations...of my sweet little baby growing up...gosh....i really didnt expect it to be so hard...this is crazy....i was absolutely counting down the days when i started bfeeding to when i could stop...yet here i am,all upset at the very thing i was wishing for!

It never stops! I was counting down the days to me being on summer hols and the kids on summer camp for 4 hrs of ME time and I miss them so bad and am not doing half of the studying I should be.....yet I paid for the camp at the beginning of the month and it includes brekkie and lunch so DH is adamant that they go - not to mention the fact that I have to study.....ach!!!
